Steve looks forward to working with all skill levels and ages of golfers to achieve their golf goals, from skills on the range and short game, to on-course assessments to evaluate players and establish a practice and lesson plan to meet the golfers needs.
Steve's Story
Steve retired from Active Duty Air Force service in March 2022 after a successful 25+ year career. He is a native of Western New York, graduated from St John Fisher College (now University) where he played basketball and was on the fledgling golf team.
Steve has been playing golf for over 30 years, and as service retirement neared, he knew he wanted to become a golf instructor. He started teaching in March 2022 at Dulles Golf Center in Sterling. He moved over to Brambleton Golf Course in March 2024. He completed the USGTF training program in December 2025, and is a US Kids Golf Level 1 and 2 certified instructor. He also volunteered with the First Tee of Hawaii in 2017, and then volunteered with First Tee DC in the fall of 2020; he is now certified Level 3 coach with First Tee Greater Washington DC, where he leads programming at Algonkian and Brambleton.
Steve is very active in all aspects of the game. He’s part of Team Callaway’s staff, and is a certified product and fitting specialist, enabling him to better serve students in discussing golf equipment options. He maintains rules knowledge through the USGA’s online courses. He completed the Ernie Els #GameOn Autism ® Golf training course to better help students with special needs. And he maintains his competitive edge by playing in Veteran Golfer Association (VGA) events throughout Virginia and Maryland.
